Remember the days of coloring pictures with that certain brand of crayon (don't want to get in trouble with the trademark name) and reading the names of the colors: Cornflower, Indigo, Burnt Sienna, and my favorite, Cerulean.
Blues are by far the most popular group of colors. Fun facts you may or may not have heard: there is no "true" blue food, and the only animal that actually "sees" blue is the Owl.
I for one, am glad I can see every form of blue. When I hear the word Cerulean, I think of shallow Sea of Cortez waters; cool and soothing shades that can bring calmness and joy.
You may think that blue can be too cold in a room, but surprisingly you can add it to your palette without it giving you a chill. One way to achieve bringing in this scrumptious color is with furniture or accessories, but an even more daring way is to install engineered hardwood flooring such as this beautiful specimen, titled Cerulean, by Hemphill’s Rugs & Carpets or Moda Custom Hardwood Floors.
You can warm up the rest of the room with rich wood furniture and a neutral palette.
Think beyond a single painted wall, and you'll open up an experience rather than just a block of color....
